ACCREDITATION PROGRAM

CTAM's accreditation program is designed for the serious theatre enthusiast. 

Credits are earned by attending the Fall and/or Spring Conventions, AACT Fest, CTAM Regional Workshops, Master Classes, ancillary programs sponsored by local groups and accredited by CTAM, and CTAM committee participation (see below).

Credits can be earned only by CTAM Associate Members and only while they maintain their Associate Member status.

Upon receiving the required number of credits, an individual will be accredited in one of four areas Accredited Actor Community Theatre (AACT);  Accredited Director Community Theatre (ADCT);  Accredited Technician Community Theatre (ATCT);  and  Accredited Administrator Community Theatre (AAdCT).

To earn the accredited status, an individual must accumulate 50 hours in one special area with at least 10 hours earned in each of the other three areas.

Credits can be earned only by CTAM Associate Members and only while they maintain their Associate Member status.  After 25 hours, an individual will be presented with a certificate at a meeting of their local group.  The list will be published annually.  After completing 60 hours an award will be presented to the individual.  Candidates at this level will be printed in the CTAM Directory.  After achieving 100 hours, persons will be presented their award at the Fall Convention and the member group will receive a certificate acknowledging the individual has attained an accredited status. 

Credits can be earned as follows:

Master Class:
10.5 credits maximum
Fall Convention:   (5 credits maximum)
1.5 credits for each workshop session
0.5 credit for the adjudicated entertainment
1.0 credit for a mini-workshop (roundtable)
0.5 credit for attending the Fall Convention
AACT/Fest :
0.5 credit for each production that was adjudicated
Spring Convention:
same as Fall Convention
CTAM Regional Workshops:
4 credits maximum (1 credit for every hour of workshop/class participation)
Ancillary Program:
4 credits maximum (1 credit for every hour of program time)
CTAM Committee Participation:
1 credit for every 10 hours of Committee work as designated by the committee chair
